2 cutoffs from the working stock (so the thickness is the same)
2 metal straight edges (steel or aluminium - which one you prefer)
4 bolts & nuts (ca. 1/5 inch)
8 washers fitting the bolts
Assembling:* Drill 2 holes into each end of the straight edges (or use predrilled stock) and appropriate holes into the woodblocks
* Bolt together the following sandwich: washer - straight edge - woodblock - straight edge - washer
... tighten them just by hands.
* Adjust both straight edges abolutely parallel with a machinist square - doublecheck!!!
* Tighten everything with a wrench - doublecheck once again!
